14K Yellow Gold Cannetille French LIMOGES ENAMEL LOCKET, 1930s Maiden Peasant

This is a 1930s-40s 14K gold locket decorated with four jade cabochons at the corners and a Limoges Enamel portrait of a French peasant girl or maiden. It is signed "SF" above her left shoulder. It is also signed "France" on the reverse. It opens to reveal a fold down frame for a photo. Closed the locket is 7/8" by 1 1/16". There are some minor surface abrasions to the portrait at the face and neck. Please see photos for condition. This piece came from the estate of a member of the Ball family (cousins of Jessie Ball Dupont). Weight is 13.5 grams.
