Antique French 18K Gold Amethyst Pendant with 17 14K Gold Chain Necklace 12.3g

The pendant bears theantique French Eagle Head Hallmark that signifies a minimum fineness of 18K (see pics). The pendant (including stone) weighs 9.7 grams. I cannot find any hallmarks on the chain.
