Antique French Empire Gold Metallic Caterpillar Tassel Fringe Trim 83"L x 4.5"W. Vintage 19th century French metallic caterpillar tassel and twisted rope fringe trim. Trim is 83" length with 4 1/2" long tassels. There are 114 caterpillar tassels.

This exceptional trim was removed from 19th century drapery panels and has wear and patina consistent with age and use. There are no missing tassels. Some of the metallic tassels have darkened to a bronze color with age. The trim is fine quality, sturdy and strong.
