Wonderful Antique 18k gold ring with old mine cut diamond prong set in an ornate braided filigree setting. The ring face is domed like many filigree rings but the pattern is lovely with the overlapping lines and braided detail on the shoulders.

This is a French piece from the Belle Epoque period. Antique box is not included.

Size 4 1/2, maybe a little over as there is space around my ring sizer mandrel. Appears sizable by your local jeweler as it has nice long prongs holding the stone securely in place, but best to check with them via photos, etc. The diamond is about 4mm diameter. I can't get a clear measurement with my caliper but appears to be. 2 to a quarter carat.

All my pieces are pre owned and in estate condition. Some stubborn buildup / lotion on the back of the ring but I do not like to over clean pieces. No other notable condition issues aside from surface wear to the gold.

The diamond has a big table that is situated slightly off center and a large culet - awesome old cut diamond. Due to age - please note this is not a mint condition item.
